Fees

Au Pair – £350

Summer Au Pair – £200

 

General Information & Liability

These Terms and Conditions of business are between Aurora Au Pairs (AAP) and the Host Family (The Client) and are deemed accepted by a signed form along with the application form.

 

AAP acts as an agent of introduction but is at no point direct or indirect employee of the Au Pair.

AAP takes measures to ensure the accuracy of applications from Au Pairs but cannot be held reliable for any inaccuracies in the Au Pairs personal details or references. 

AAP shall not  be liable under any circumstances for any loss of, damage, expense, injury or inconvenienced suffered or incurred by the family offering or providing a placement for the au pair. 

AAP is not responsible for any accidents or incidence caused by the au pair. 

 

Replacements & refunds

Should an au pair leave the family within the first 28 days of arrival AAP will endeavour to offer a fully suitable replacement Au Pair.  Should AAP fail to offer a replacement au pair within 28 days a refund is paid in full less £75 administration fee.  If The Client rejects for any reason the replacement au pair offered no refund is paid.  Only one replacement is offered per paid fee.

AAP will offer a refund if Au Pair fails to arrive or changes her mind after accepting a placement, less £75 administration fee.

If the au Pair proves unsuitable within the first 28 days (if they are found to have misrepresented themselves, their ability or/and experience) and replacement is offered or a full refund less £75 administration fee. 

If The Client cancels arrangements once the au pair has accepted the placement The Client is responsible for 50% of the fee.

If The Client decides to terminate the placement within the trial period they must provide the Au Pair with alternative accommodation for up to seven days from the date of termination and this must be confirmed in writing to AAP 7 days before the termination.

No refund can be offered if the Au Pair justifiably complains of abuse (verbal or physical) by The Client or any member of the host family or their visiting friends and family.

No refund is offered if The Client does not respect the Au Pairs agreed working hours or/and pay or in any way restricts the Au Pair as contractually agreed by the terms & conditions. 

No refund is offered for short stay Au Pairs.

Holiday

All Au Pairs are entitled to one week paid holiday per each six months stay with the host family.  An Au Pairs holiday should not have to coincide with the families holiday.

Pay

Pocket money must be a minimum £65 per week for 25 hours and £80 for 30 hours, regardless of whether the minimum hours are worked.

Leisure time

The au pair schedule must provide sufficient time to attend language school. The au pair shall receive two free days each week and should be offered one full weekend per month.  To avoid conflict an agreed schedule of work should be agreed with the au pair as close to the start of the placement as possible.
